Three taps solve this forever. Facebook has a dark mode that paints the background black and the text light, on Android, iPhone, and computer. In this guide, you'll see the exact path on each device, how to make the app darken automatically at night, and other appearance adjustments that make the feed more comfortable.<\/p>\n

Facebook: the app you already have, with a new look.<\/h2>\n

Facebook is one of the most installed apps on the planet: it has over 10 billion downloads on Google Play, where it has a 4.8 rating with more than 187 million reviews. In the Brazilian App Store, the rating is also 4.8. Dark mode comes built into the app itself, for free, without requiring any extra installation.<\/p>\n

          Let Facebook dim automatically at night.<\/h2>\n

          If you like a bright screen during the day and a dark one at night, you don't need to manually switch between them. In the final step on Android or iPhone, instead of "Enabled," choose the option to use the system settings. From then on, Facebook will follow the phone's theme.<\/p>\n

          • Android:<\/strong> Open your phone's Settings, go to Screen<\/strong> and turn on the Dark theme<\/strong>. Many devices allow you to program the time they turn on. The menu name varies slightly from brand to brand.<\/li>\n

            Dark mode is the first step. Combine it with these settings on your phone itself, and scrolling before bed becomes much smoother:<\/p>\n

            1. Lower the brightness:<\/strong> With a black background, the minimum brightness is sufficient for reading in a dark room.<\/li>\n
            2. Turn on the blue light filter:<\/strong> On iPhone, it's located in Settings > Display & Brightness > Night Shift<\/strong>. On Android, it appears as Night Light or Visual Comfort, depending on the brand, within the Display settings.<\/li>\n
            3. Program them both together:<\/strong> Leave the dark theme and filter on at the same time. When night falls, the entire phone changes its look without you touching anything.<\/li>\n
